Why did you join CDWBA: I admire the good work done by the CDWBA. I currently serve as Immediate Past President of the Albany County Bar Association, and the Associations worked collaboratively on numerous events.

How long have you been a member: Nearing one year.

What do you do for fun: I enjoy taking walks in the Crossings and on a treadmill, cooking - cleaning, less so - and eating what I've cooked. It's fun to find new alternatives to recharge.

When did you decide you wanted to be a lawyer: In January, 1975, as a freshman in college. Although both grandfathers had been attorneys (and one a judge), I didn't choose this profession until I was ready to fully commit.

Favorite childhood book: The Little Engine That Could

Favorite vacation spot: Anywhere with a beach, and preferably a pool as well, for switching it up.

Favorite place to work (other than at your desk): Dining room table

Favorite sports team: Any Boston College team.

Favorite food: Artichokes, as prepared by my mom. I have a wide palette, which keeps expanding. Basically, I like it all.

Favorite movie: Disney's The Little Mermaid - a great story about someone who gave up everything for true love.

Favorite law school class: Contracts, with Professor William Watkins at Albany Law.

Favorite Supreme Court Justice: John Marshall, a leader and creator who made something out of nothing.

Favorite quote: The statement I have often made to my children: "The true test of the value of a human is what they do after they've been knocked down."

What are you passionate about: Justice. More specifically, protecting defendants' rights and ensuring the presumption of innocence.

If you could live anywhere, where would you live: Colonie, New York.

What are you reading right now: Autoweek

What do you most value in your friends: Most importantly, respect.

If you weren't a lawyer, what would you be doing instead: A starving screen and stage actor.

Describe yourself in 3 words: I remain a work in progress, so I will let Father Time provide these.
